Another Strange Storm

I went through another weird storm this week. I got out of work and there was a big storm to the west. After I got onto I-35 W, it started raining and the cloud cover was so thick that it looked like night time even though the son had been up for a good half hour or more. I eventually pulled ahead of the rain and even got ahead of the storm itself, but then I turned west onto I-20 and got a full view of the storm. With in minutes of driving, I was back under the full blunt of it and saw the craziest thing I have ever seen in storm clouds. I saw a large green section in the middle of a dark black mass. Now I've seen green clouds before, but these were glowing bright green. It was soooooo strange.

Usually, hail is associated with green clouds. I got home before the green clouds passed over, and I expected large hail and a lot of it. To my surprise, it never happened. We got some really hard rain that lasted about half an hour that put what seemed to be an inch of water on the streets, but there was no hail. I was kinda glad though. After seeing those clouds, I debated putting my car in the garage for the duration of the storm, but didn't and everything turned out ok.
