I'm sure the title of this post made many of you curious being that I don't have any kids, so here is my story.
Like many other college students, I work part time. It isn't the best job in the world and a lot of times it is very frustrating. On my worst days, the ONLY thing that can change my mood are the children that stop by. There is just something about kids that melt down my mood on bad days or improve it even more on good days. It can be something as simple as a child hiding behind a parent, a child to shy to tell me what they want so they wisper to Mom or Dad, some funny wording when they ask for something, or even a simple smile and a wave from a toddler.
Today, I was in a good mood, but this one got me laughing the rest of the day and I just had to share it. A mother and her son and daughter stopped by. The mother asked the little girl if she wanted a milkshake. The little girl said in a slightly pouty voice that she didn't want a milkshake because it had milk in it and she doesn't like milk. I was about to tell her that we don't put milk in it, but the mother asked her what she wanted instead. Her answer... a sundae. I started to laugh and then the mother asked her children if they knew what icecream was made of. With out a pause, the little boy responded. "It's made with ice." Lol, that did it. I couldn't hold it in anymore. The mother laughed as well and gave up at that point.
Lol, poor little girl. She's going to be devastated when she learns that icecream is made with milk. Lol. Awww, I love little kids!
