New Things

I know it's been a while since I posted on here, so I thought I would at least let you know that I am still here. There are some new things in my life right now and other things in development that I don't want to tell you about yet until I get more details about them.

First of all, I have received a new calling and have been sustained and set apart as the Ward Executive Secretary. I have had this calling for around 2 weeks now and although it takes a lot of time away from me, it is one of my favorite callings. I have had this calling before when going to BYU-Idaho in Rexburg. It was a lot of fun getting to know the members in the ward through out the school year and I look forward to it again. That is the new thing taking up my time that I am willing to share with you.

Another thing that happened is from my birthday over a month ago. My Dad remembered my big day and sent me a card with a gift certificate 2 weeks before my birthday. When he called me on my birthday to send me wishes, he asked about it, but I hadn't seen or heard anything about it. Two days later, he got it in the mail. It was addressed to me with all the correct info, but for one reason or another, it was sent back to him. He immediately sent it back the next day, but after 2 weeks, I still had nothing. We gave it one more week and still nothing. Finally, we gave up on it. To my surprise, I checked the mail on Friday and there it was. It took nearly a month to get here after he sent it the 2nd time. Does it really take mail that long to get from Iowa to Utah? At any rate, I'm glad it made it. I know Dad had good intentions, but to be honest, it was kinda nice to get it late like that. It cheered up my day and gave me a smile and a weird story to report.

As for the other things. I don't want to give details yet because it seems that when I do that on here, things go wrong and the exciting thing does a 180 and doesn't happen. I'll give you a clue though to ease your curiosity. One involves a girl. The other, which is more likely to happen in the next day or two is a new car.
